That time of year when treats of all kinds are widely consumed is rapidly approaching. If making treats is a delight one might want to try to spice it up a bit this year and craft a few new items.
A creative item to compose is a Jell-O presentation that resembles an aquarium. All the ingredients needed are a new and clean goldfish bowl, Jelly Belly gravel beans or red hots, blue Jell-O, purple endive, ice cubes, cold water, gummy fish and parsley sprigs.
Another creative treat option is a banana ghost. All that is required for this special treat is one banana, two Popsicle sticks, 1 ½ ounce white chocolate or white almond bark, plastic wrap, and 4 candy coated milk chocolate pieces or a candy resembling eyes.
Take any fibers that are stringy off of the banana that is peeled. Cut the banana in half widthwise. Next push a Popsicle stick into each banana half up through the end that is cut. Once this has been done, cover each piece with plastic and freeze for around three hours.
After you have frozen the bananas and sticks, put the white chocolate into a microwave safe bowl and cook at high until the chocolate has melted which usually only takes about a minute. Using a butter knife, even out the chocolate onto the banana halves.
Place the pops onto a dish covered in waxed paper. Gently place the candies to make the eyes and mouths and put back into the freezer until ready to dish up. This will serve two.
As you can see, these treats are very creative and will make a great addition whether just having a family dinner or having guests over for a party. Your guests and family members will have fun helping to make these creations as well. These are delicious treats that you won’t feel guilty about serving as there are not a lot of calories or sugar.
